Are you looking for a local business that genuinely cares about the community it serves? At Taylor Carpet One Floor & Home, our commitment to Southwest Florida goes far beyond providing beautiful, high-quality flooring. Since 1957, we've been a proud part of this region, dedicating our time, resources, and hearts to making Naples, Fort Myers, Bonita Springs, and the surrounding areas a better place to live.
We believe that a strong community is built on a foundation of mutual support and compassion. This page is dedicated to sharing our ongoing community projects and the partnerships that allow us to give back to the neighbourhoods that have supported our family for generations.
What does it mean to be a third-generation, family-owned business in Southwest Florida? For the Taylor family, it means upholding a legacy of integrity, hard work, and always putting the customer first.
John Taylor, our third-generation owner, has spent his life building a business rooted in trust and community service. Alongside him is Jennie Taylor, whose extensive flooring knowledge and dedication to team training ensure that every customer receives the highest level of expertise and care. Representing the fourth generation is Lauren Taylor, who brings fresh energy and a deep-seated passion for community involvement to the family business.
Together, the Taylor family has cultivated a culture where giving back is just as important as the products we sell. Whether through local charities, festival sponsorships, or national foundations, we are always looking for ways to lift our neighbours and support the region we proudly call home.
How does a community recover after devastating natural disasters? Southwest Florida is no stranger to the destructive power of hurricanes, having faced immense challenges from Milton, Helene, and Ian. In the wake of these storms, we knew that our community needed immediate, tangible support to rebuild their homes and their lives.
Through a powerful partnership with the United Way of Lee, Hendry, and Glades, Taylor Carpet One Floor & Home stepped up to help families in need. We proudly donated over $140,000 in carpeting and flooring to families impacted by these catastrophic storms through the Gifts in Kind Program. Restoring a home starts from the ground up, and by providing new floors, we aim to give our neighbors a sense of comfort, dignity, and a fresh start.
If you or someone you know is in need of assistance, or if you would like to join us in supporting these vital relief efforts, please reach out to the United Way. You can dial 211, call 239-433-3900, or visit UnitedWayLee.org.
How can we help ensure that everyone has access to a safe and affordable place to live? Habitat for Humanity has long been a beacon of hope for families striving for homeownership, and Taylor Carpet One Floor & Home is immensely proud to support their mission in Southwest Florida.
We believe that a house becomes a true home when it provides security and warmth. By partnering with local Habitat for Humanity chapters, we contribute to the construction of safe, affordable housing for deserving families. Our ongoing support helps lay the groundwork for a brighter future, giving families the stability they need to thrive and grow.
How can we adequately honor the sacrifices made by our nation's heroes? The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers (T2T) Foundation does incredible work supporting catastrophically injured veterans, first responders, and Gold Star families. They provide mortgage-free smart homes tailored to the specific needs of injured veterans, giving them back their independence and a comfortable place to live.
The Taylor family is deeply invested in the T2T mission. We support a variety of regular T2T fundraisers, and our very own Lauren Taylor takes a leading role by hosting the annual Tunnel to Towers 5K Run and Walk in Fort Myers. This event brings our community together to run, walk, and raise crucial funds to support those who have sacrificed so much for our country.
We invite you to lace up your running shoes and join us at the next event. To learn more or register, visit the official event page at t2t.org/event/2025-tunnel-to-towers-5k-run-walk-fort-myers/.
What is the best way to celebrate the history and culture of Southwest Florida? For over 88 years, the Edison Festival of Light has been the region's signature event, honoring the legacy of Thomas Edison and bringing our community together for a spectacular celebration.
Taylor Carpet One has been a mainstay of the Edison Festival of Light Grand Parade for more than 20 years. You can almost always find a Taylor family float illuminating the parade route. Our involvement, however, goes far beyond our float. John Taylor was part of the dedicated, small group that led the parade committee for years, ensuring the event's ongoing success.
Recently, Lauren Taylor made history by becoming the youngest president in the festival's 88-year history. Her leadership and vision continue to guide the Southeast's top nighttime parade into the future. To learn more about Lauren's historic role, you can read the full story at Priority Marketing or discover more about the festival at EdisonFestival.org.
